As of June 2002, the former Marysville Soccer Association and the Union County Independent Soccer League have joined together. This new collaboration can provide more and better playing opportunities for our U-10 (8 and 9 year olds) and older players. This is how some of the changes have affected our league.

REC. TEAMS
All U6, U8, and some U10 teams are on Recreational teams (Rec.). All Rec. teams will play games on Saturdays at the UCJRD Park in Marysville. Teams will not travel to other locations and there will be no additional fees associated with playing on a Rec. team.

GOYSL and MSSA TEAMS
Some of our older teams have been registered to play with the Greater Outerbelt Youth Soccer League (GOYSL) or with the Middle School Soccer Association (MSSA). These teams will compete with neighboring area leagues and will travel locally to Columbus suburbs. Games will be played throughout the week. Additional playing and uniform fees may apply.

“SELECT” SOCCER
The UCISL is one of several youth/recreational leagues that refers players to Elite FC, an independently-operated “select” club whose teams play most of their home games in the Marysville area, and travel throughout the state of Ohio and the Midwest to play against other “select” teams. Interested
players may try out for teams at various age levels, and selected players are assigned to teams with paid trainers and coaches. If Elite FC does not meet your child's or family's needs, the UCISL may be able to provide assistance in identifying other “select” programs and opportunities..
